Music production for film or installation

Hi guys, I'm a music producer, experienced keyboardist and sometime guitarist. I've just uploaded my latest offering to the WoTI music player - have a listen. ('Ghost Shapes' by Big Wheel).

I'm offering instrumental music for film or installation, bespoke, if anyone is interested. Theme or incidental. I have other examples of production work available on request, can work to brief and deadline, and generally produce to a high standard. Rates are negotiable.

I am also looking for vocalists for upcoming work, responsible for both writing lyrics to mostly pre-written tracks, and for vocal performance. They would have a solid creative input into the finished product, and would have pre-agreed proportional ownership of any proceeds should their work reach the final master.

Feedback and questions welcome. Drop me a line. Cheers.

Also I would have thought Universities with strong music departments might be of use to you. In particular I have Salford in mind, but only because Ive been there, there are many countrywide. I have a friend at a college in London who gets work all the time on the strength of him being at tha particular college. I will also speak to him in the next couple of days and let you know if i glean any useful information.

Well, there's me of course, but more commercially speaking:

Just a few, really. I do frequent where there are musicians of all genres, including composers and score-writers. The soundclick forums are the best place to start and are well sub-divided - I believe there's a music for film & TV forum. On soundclick, musicians are very keen. If I were looking for something for film and TV, I would set up a forum competition, winner gets the job kind-of thing, then you will at least have a choice of artists and styles at no initial cost.

That's all I have in my brain right now, but will think on it further and let you know.

Hello! I'm having difficulty reaching those who Produce Music for Film & TV. Any Suggestions?

I set up Who'd of Thought It in 2010, as a blog and place to share and develop ideas.

It evolved into a small community and forum to post thoughts and canvass feedback, with me entertaining the notion of perhaps collaborating on and publishing some of the content to a wider audience. After gathering some initial traction (there are some novel concepts in the archive) other ventures took precedence.

'WoTI' now serves as a occasional pleasure, scrapbook of ideas and guest posts from those who dare. But never say never!

Enjoy. Chris Thompson
