A small story that might just change the world: http://youtu.be/DyWAqKaE9JI #theinsatiablemoon

I was lucky enough to chat with producers of The Insatiable Moon recently, before I'd seen the film...

After watching it this is what I emailed to Rob:

"Congratulations on one of the most profoundly moving films I think I've ever seen.  I don't mind admitting I literally sobbed - not during but after taking in The Insatiable Moon.  I still can't quite reconcile how I feel about it.  It really touched me."

And Rob responded with:

"Thanks for your very kind words about the film. What you describe is the reaction a lot of people have - including me every time I see it and I know what's coming!

We have shown this to mental health professionals and charities working with the same type of people and, more profoundly to street people themselves, and the reaction is exactly the same. One guy said he couldn't speak for 2 hrs after he saw it as he couldn't process what he had seen and the impact it had. Not bad for a film that the NZ film commission refused to support because they thought it didnt have any humour and wouldn't travel as it wasn't a universal story...duh"

I set up Who'd of Thought It in 2010, as a blog and place to share and develop ideas.

It evolved into a small community and forum to post thoughts and canvass feedback, with me entertaining the notion of perhaps collaborating on and publishing some of the content to a wider audience. After gathering some initial traction (there are some novel concepts in the archive) other ventures took precedence.

'WoTI' now serves as a occasional pleasure, scrapbook of ideas and guest posts from those who dare. But never say never!

Enjoy. Chris Thompson
