Hi guys, I'm a music producer, experienced keyboardist and sometime guitarist. I've just uploaded my latest offering to the WoTI music player - have a listen. ('Ghost Shapes' by Big Wheel).

I'm offering instrumental music for film or installation, bespoke, if anyone is interested. Theme or incidental. I have other examples of production work available on request, can work to brief and deadline, and generally produce to a high standard. Rates are negotiable.

I am also looking… Continue

???? in rock god persona, ???? as cameraman.

For the sheer hell of it. But monetisation may occur via sponsored links on YouTube channel, commissioning to do PR stunts etc.

What is…

Has Anyone You Know Committed Digital Suicide?

Pilot for New Documentary Game Show - Call for Participants:

Most of us know somebody who for whatever reason has resisted the lure of the technology revolution.  We consider them purists who, with the odd exception such as Noel "I've only got six friends and I'm trying to get rid of four of them" Gallagher, appear to the rest of us live a near Mormon existence…

Access All Areas - a tv show set around the modern London music industry

Ever put on the tele and thought everything on here is crapola?

After doing just that and deciding that us Brits should be able to write good comedy drama like our American friends, my writing partner Dave Collyer and I set about writing a TV show we thought we'd enjoy watching every week about our beloved (and often loathed) music industry.

Based on the fortunes/misfortunes of six key characters and their intertwining relationships with a host of colourful secondary characters,… Continue

High On Hope - Feature length documentary

I have made a documentary about the early days of acid house, more specifically the Blackburn warehouse parties of 1989 - 91. I wanted to make a film that summed up the spirit and ethos of acid house and i thought, through the prism of my own experience, that these parties were the best vehicle to tell the story.

This film has been 10 years in the making. When i started i didn't have a clue. Mid way through i got in to film school and learned how to do things 'properly'. I tried…

Breaking The Vicious Cycle (Book)

Book for university students hoping to land a career in industries like:

It will be a book of short stories, explaining how people who have 'made it' got into their respective industries. Likely full of 'work experience' type yarns, but hopefully enough interesting series of events like Marc Marot's (who I met recently):

A classically trained cellist, Marot… Continue

Let's have a ten-day week!

My idea starts with a re-arrangement of our current method of marking

the passage of time by making each week ten days long.

For convenience I have re-named the days:

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Oohday, Aaahday, and Daveday though obviously the names for the three new days would bear a little discussion.

The benefits of this new system, while perhaps not immediately apparent, will be far reaching with a number of knock -on… Continue

I set up Who'd of Thought It in 2010, as a blog and place to share and develop ideas.

It evolved into a small community and forum to post thoughts and canvass feedback, with me entertaining the notion of perhaps collaborating on and publishing some of the content to a wider audience. After gathering some initial traction (there are some novel concepts in the archive) other ventures took precedence.

'WoTI' now serves as a occasional pleasure, scrapbook of ideas and guest posts from those who dare. But never say never!

Enjoy. Chris Thompson
